Who we are

“Come and See!”

St. Josaphat Cathedral is a community of believers who worship the One God in Trinity and, following the instruction of Our Lord Jesus Christ, spreads the Gospel message throughout the world.

Scripture – We are joyfully nourished by the Incarnate Word Jesus Christ through Scripture readings, Gospel-based preaching, and Sacraments in our divine services. We in turn, by our words and actions, proclaim the Gospel to the larger Northeast Ohio community.

Tradition – Having received the gifts of orthodox Faith and Christian Hope and Love at our Baptism, we celebrate and confess our acceptance of the teachings of the Church at every Divine Liturgy, in the Creed and in the Eucharist. We likewise strive to pass on these gifts of Faith, Hope and Love to our community and to future generations.

Community – We frequently gather as the Body of Christ to unite ourselves with Christ our Head to offer praises to the Father in the Holy Spirit. Thus, we become witnesses in the greater community to the New Life of which we are made partakers in the Church.
